However, today this transformed community is the center of art and culture in the area, blending together its jaw-dropping past and the promise of a bright future for every homeowner in Old Colorado City.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The dining scene in Old Colorado City has become one of the best in greater Colorado Springs, with highly rated and popular restaurants around every corner. In fact, the neighborhood has become something of a culinary mecca in recent years. Paravicini’s Italian Bistro is one of the most popular spots in town. Their traditional approach to Italian has made them a family favorite, and guests love tasting dishes like fried artichokes, tortellini carbonara, and seafood fra diavolo whenever they can. Jorge’s Mexican Restaurant is certainly a community staple. Their authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine and outstanding margaritas have guests returning time and time again.

Carlo’s Bistro serves some of the best New American cuisine in the entire state. Their menu includes delicacies like prime Osetra caviar, fried frog legs, seared prime filet mignon, sauteed calves liver, and fresh grilled Colorado lamb chops. Or, if you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, you should check out the famous Front Range Barbeque. With its hand-crafted Southern-style barbeque, its menu has been enchanting guests since 2000 with dishes like tender smoked BBQ pork ribs, a smoked beef brisket plate, and some of the best Southern pecan pie you’ve ever had.

TAPAteria offers guests a unique Spanish-style experience with classic tapas dishes such as anchovy-stuffed olives, mushroom toast, and patatas bravas alongside some of the most exquisite local and Spanish wines available.
 

Things to Do

Not only is Old Colorado City surrounded by some of the most exciting and activity-filled terrain in the state, but the city itself also offers numerous entertainment opportunities and events for homeowners to enjoy throughout the year. Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a 1,474-acre open park with a plethora of trails, green spaces, and rock climbing areas for visitors to enjoy. 

The Old Colorado City Farmer’s Market has been a community staple for over 20 years. Visitors can purchase beautiful local produce, hand-made goods, and artisanal crafts straight from vendors and producers every Saturday from Mid-June through October, creating a strong sense of community and belonging for the entire town.  
 
The Christmas Stroll in OCC is one of the most highly anticipated annual events. During this beautiful holiday tradition, Dickensian Christmas Carolers wander the streets singing classic tunes while guests enjoy an array of holiday-themed treats and activities. Another local favorite is the Old Colorado City Fall Harvest Festival, where guests can celebrate the bounty of the local community with live music, beer gardens, street vendors, kids’ activities, and a wonderful pumpkin patch.  

The annual Colorado Springs Territory Days are a beloved neighborhood celebration. With over 180 food and crafts vendors, live Native American performances, and Wild West reenactments, this exciting event has grown into one of the largest and most popular in the area.
